The assassination of a top leader like Benazir Bhutto is a cowardly act of the terrorists. It is an act that is suited only for devils. This has pushed democratic process a step backward.
But it was always predicted in Pakistan. The leaders do not foresee the future when they are in power. They are fighting in such a self-made platform that nobody is going to escape. Terrorism is a cobweb where, once trapped, one gets suffocated, and dies. When in power, they act blindly. The venomous serpent they feed milk with turns its teeth towards them.
It is not the only case in Pakistan, but a global phenomenon. The top leaders get into animosity, and that strengthens the mindset of terrorists. President Musharraf also should rethink of his activities so as not to meet the same day. The world is aware that it was Bhutto herself who had nurtured the Talibans.
The aftermath of the incident is likely to get more violent. Counter-reaction is going to dampen the common Pakistani livelihood. Leaders themselves are the creators of such situation, and helpless people are destined to live under adversity.
